Radcliff Elementary School

Replacement of Foundation Ventilation System

The foundation ventilation at Radcliff Elementary School had become inadequate over time, and the existing vents were no longer sufficient to provide proper airflow beneath the building. To address these issues, the school expanded the existing vents, added several new vents, and installed a moisture barrier to prevent mold and moisture buildup in the foundation.

The project began with a thorough assessment of the current system to identify areas needing improvement. The existing vents were enlarged, and new vents were strategically placed to ensure better airflow and proper circulation throughout the entire foundation. A moisture barrier was also installed to protect the building from excessive humidity and the growth of mold or mildew, which could potentially damage the structure. In addition to these ventilation improvements, the buildings were repainted to enhance their appearance and provide further protection against weather-related wear. This comprehensive update not only improved airflow and moisture control but also ensured a healthier, more sustainable environment for both students and staff at Radcliff Elementary.
