PVUSD Maintenance and Operations Facility

Feasibility Study

The new Maintenance and Operations (M&O) Facility for the Pajaro Valley Unified School District (PVUSD) will serve as a centralized hub, consolidating various trades and administrative functions into a modern, two-story building designed to enhance efficiency and support the district’s long-term needs.

The first floor will accommodate departments such as Carpentry, Paint, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Welding, Locksmith, Grounds, and Custodial services. The second floor will house the administrative offices for Planning and Construction. Designed to support future growth, the building will be energy-efficient and sustainable, with the goal of achieving LEED certification. It will utilize renewable energy for its operations and feature EV charging stations for staff, the public, and the district’s future electric vehicle fleet. Bike parking will also be available to encourage alternative transportation and reduce carbon emissions. Conveniently located near nine transit stops within half a mile and less than a mile from the city’s transit center, the facility will offer easy access for both staff and visitors. This new M&O Facility will not only streamline operations and support the district’s sustainability goals but also provide a forward-thinking, accessible space that meets the needs of PVUSD now and in the future.
